Love this list thing! Lots of love for the Streets (Carrie will be happy), but...
1. Silent Alarm, Bloc Party?? You introduced me to this band for Christ's sake! And it's gotta be in the top five.
2. I'll fight you to the death (harsh? Perhaps) if you actually believe that Sam's Town is better than Funeral. And I love, love, love Hot Fuss (#2 is not unjustified).
3. Your dislike of Sufjan Stevens never ceases to amaze me. Illinois is top five material.
4. Really should be on the list:

-The Arcade Fire EP, TAF
-Broken Social Scene, BSS (GOB voice: "come on!!")

5. This one gets its own number: no Coldplay? Really?? I'll admit that X&Y is a shade too uneven (though surely it has a place in the 30s), but Parachutes and, especially, A Rush of Blood to the Head have to be on the list.)
If you're going to pick an overhyped Brit band, I think the Arctic Monkeys have the edge over the highly forgettable Kaiser Chiefs.
And speaking of the UK, I obviously agree with Kyle re: Bloc Party and Coldplay. And everything else, actually.
Also, you should really consider checking out The Hold Steady. A bit Springsteen-ish, and definitely better than a lot of this, I think.
#35 I don't think I've even heard of. #27 I'm assuming is a joke; #9, likewise.
Finally, I know you really love U2, but How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb should not be on any "best of" list. Anywhere. Ever. The album is so full of cliches and Bono-isms and weak-ass imitations of greatness that it borders on self-parody.
I mean, if you ask me.
